After releasing “The Wood” (a 10 track full length album in September last year), the time to digest and assess has led Amanda to make some bold studio decisions. Two of the songs on this release are remixed with outstanding results (Lazy Sunday and Calm Seas), plus there is a brand new song “Old Romantic”. Space, simplicity and an easygoing feel is the mood of this collection of tunes, reminiscent of the late great JJ Cale, but with Amanda’s sweet vocal soaring atmospherically throughout. “Lazy Sunday” is the attention seeker, with its twangy slide guitar and fun, upbeat story about kicking back on a Sunday afternoon.
